CHIPPING AND PITCHING
“Use the Ontrac as a guide for your swing path and direction in the short game.”
Set up the Ontrac as illustrated in fig A. Practice hitting shots with the ball placed at the end of Ontrac as shown. Make sure the face angle of Ontrac matches the angle of your club shaft.This position will encourage you to keep your club “ontrac” throughout the swing.
“Improved contact will help you gain distance and control”.
Set up the Ontrac as illustrated in fig B. Unfold the bottom edge of the Ontrac and place the ball several inches in front of it. In this position a descending angle is created for your club to strike the ball. Allow the club to naturally rise above the flat section of the Ontrac in both the backswing and downswing. Your club should brush through the grass after making impact with ball.
